Tuesday 9th March 2010 - Kick Off 7.45pm UCL League Knockout Cup - Quarter Final St Ives Town vs Blackstones Tonight see's the Saints in action in yet another cup quarter final against Blackstones. This fixture has fallen foul of the weather in the past two weeks but it appears that this could be a great week of football at Westwood Road after last night's win for our Young Saints in their Youth Cup semi final against Somersham Town.
Saints co manager; Jez Hall, spoke to the website this morning "Saturday was ideal as it got the lads back to playing football again and winning" he added "We showed great character to come back from one down and we knew the lads could do it" Hall's co manager Warren Everdell also added "Blackstones will not roll over for us tonight and they will make it difficult for us" he went on to add "The home supporters were behind us on Saturday and I hope they come out in their numbers tonight to cheer us on...it does make a difference!" |
