UCL Premier Division Boston Town 3 St Ives Town 0 The Saints were caught by three early goals against a Lincolnshire side who have yet to concede a League goal in 500 minutes of football. After the game Co Manager; Jez Hall commented "This was a really strange game of football as the scoreline will say that we were well beaten by three goals but that was definitely not the case" he added "We played really well throughout and deserved something from the game. There was only four players in the starting line up from our cup winning side and it was pleasing to see our squad included 4 Under 18 players" Warren Everdell added "We told the lads at half time that we were not happy is was 3-0 but we were happy with their attitude to the game" Everdell added "Our two strikers; Neil McPhee and Conor Washington are both only 17 years old and they looked very dangerous and at times the Boston defence couldnt cope with them" UCL Reserve Division Two St Ives Town Res 5 Olney Town Res 2 This was a clash at the bottom of the Reserve Division Two and the homes ide ran out comfortable victors when they managed to crush their opponents with goals coming from Carl Foreman 2, Ian King, Matt Byrne and Aftab. |
