 Manager's View - Hinchingbrooke Cup
St Ives Town 3 Potton United 0 After Tuesday night's game Saints Co Manager; Jez Hall spoke to the website to give us his thoughts on the 3-0 victoty "It was really nice to get a home win for the supporters who have had it tough the last 3 or 4 games at home. Thought it was a cracking performance from the team and especially we were steady at the back. Poorey did well coming in again was great and Morgan moving to right back was excellent. Our full backs and wingers attacked brilliantly and we put in over 40 crosses in the game and we created the best part of 30 chances against 3 for them. We were very pleased and it maybe should have been more comfortable but we will take a win whatever it was. There was a lot of very good individual performances aswell" |

St Ives Town 3 Potton United 0 Att : 97 MOM : Carl Foreman (St Ives Town) Carl Foreman displayed the kind of form that earns him the title of 'Fans Favourite' as he continued to terrorise the Potton defence with his wing play. In a game which the Saints domintaed from start to finish a brace from Matt Bannister and a goal from striker; Shane Fox was enough to see the home side progree through to the first round. |
