Saturday 24th July 2010 - Pre Season Friendly

Mildenhall Town 0 St Ives Town 0

MoM : Jason King (St Ives Town)

This afternoon saw the unbeaten Saints travel into Suffolk to face Ridgeons Premier Division side; Mildenhall Town and with the honours shared the Saints would see themselves as unlucky not to have won the game.

With new loan signing, from Rushden & Diamondsl; Morgan Phillips and ever present Dan Newman marshalling the back four the Saints looked comforatble against the lively Hall's front line. Up hill in the first period chances went begging for the Saints with Lee Ellison and Scott Fielding coming close. The Saints lined up with a familiar face in the back four and with the attacking presence of Jason King at right back he earned his Man of the Match award and came close himself with a good chance to score.

In the second period, and with many Saints substitutions, both Conor Washington and Carl Foreman looked dangerous out wide with Ellison and Ricky Dear pulling the strings in midfield.

The game finished all square and whilst the scoreline looked dull both sets of fans were entertained to a good free flowing game of football at The Halls.

St Ives now face Zameretto (Step 4) opponents; Soham Town Rangers at Westwood Road on Tuesday evening. Kick off time is 7.45pm.
