Thursday 6th May 2010 - UCL Reserve Division Two
ON Chenecks Res vs St Ives Town Res (to be played at Cogenhoe United FC click here for directions) Saints Reserves finish off their league campaign with a difficult away match versus second placed ON Chenecks, who must win to gain promotion to Reserve Division One. A draw would not be sufficent for the Northamptonshire side as they look to take the title. The fixture has been reverted to Cogenhoe United due to the lack of floodlights available at Chenecks. Thursday 6th May 2010 - Ridgeons Youth League (West Division) St Ives Town U18 vs Royston Town U18 The league acts as yet another distraction for the young Saints as they currently sit in joint 6th position with their Hertfordshire opponents. A win for either side will surely cement the 6th (possibly 5th) position over near neighbours St Neots Town. This game acts as a warm up for the management team as they look to prepare for the Eastern Junior Cup final against Bury Town U18. To see the current league table, please click here. Both KO's times are 7.45pm |

Thursday 29th April 2010 - UCL Premier Division
St Ives Town 0 S & L Corby 1 Att : 51 MoM : Jason King In front of an unusually low crowd of 51 at Westwood Road this evening the Saints outplayed their opponents for the majority of the match but failed to turn their chances into goals as S & L grabbed their opportunity after only 27 minutes. Michael Byrne managed to spring the offside trap and lob the ball over the advancing Rob MacKney to make it 1-0. In the second half chances went begging for Matt Bannister and Ozie Foster with Carl Foreman looking lively in front of a resolute Corby defence. After a good save from the visiting keeper the ball was turned back by Foreman to Dan Moyes who struck the ball clean on the volley but it hit the bar and cleared by the defence. After the game Saints co manager; Warren Everdell spoke to the website "We were hoping to give our loyal home supporters a win on the last home game of the season but it just shows that we need to take our chances when they come" St Ives now travel to Raunds Town on Saturday looking to try and finish on a high. |
