"Last weekend (12th & 13th June) saw many ground and pitch improvements including several key areas of the pitch being dug out and drainage installed. This will hopefully assist us in the poor weather months and will improve the pitch and decrease the postponements throughout the season. I would like to place on record a vote of thanks for Simon Clark, Paul Reason, Dave Claridge, Fizzer, Mark Taylor, Michele Tattersall and Roger Knowles for their efforts and dedicated time last weekend"

This weekend see's another full weekend of ground and clubhouse refurbishment and Ade Tattersall (Ground & Stadia Director) is urging people to come forward and lend a hand for your local football club "I appreciate that many people have plans for the weekend but if you could spare a few hours then that would be most appreciated as all the work done this weekend will go a long way to improving the facilities around the club"

We look forward to seeing you this weekend.

After the game Saints U18 Manager; Darnell Dodd and President/Chairman of the Eastern Junior Cup spoke to the website and gave us their views and reactions from Thursday's night cup final.

Darnell Dodd (Saints Manager) "Obviously we are gutted. We had chances to win it but it appears that Lady Luck was just not with us tonight. The lads commiittment cannot be faulted one single bit and it was a faultless perfromance by all. The game could have went either way. I would also like to place on record a vote of Thanks to my Assistant; Steve Small and not  just for this evening but for his assistance and support throughout the whole season"

David Rose (President/Chairman - Eastern Junior Cup) "I would like to start by saying Thank You to everyone involved with St Ives Town FC for allowing us to stage the final here at Westwood Road. Without their response this final would have had to have been played at the start of next season and that would not have been fair to some of the lads who would be too old to compete. Both sides deserve credit for their perfromance this evening and it was played in front the biggest crowd this competition has seen for some time"
