Adam Fisher departs the Ives

Assistant Manager Adam Fisher has departed St Ives Town FC after accepting a management role at another club.

Adam has been part of the management team since 2022, commenting on his departure Fisher said:

“It was an extremely tough decision to make as this club has meant an awful lot to me and my family. From day one we have been made so welcome, and I cannot speak highly enough of everyone involved at the club. All the players I have worked with over four seasons, the management team, the board, the volunteers and all the supporters – I have loved every minute. I just felt after four seasons it was time for a new challenge and a challenge that I could not turn down. I must give a special mention to the gaffa, Ricky who took a punt on me four years ago at a time when I needed it most. It has allowed me to fall back in love with the game and learn from an incredible person and manager. So, I can’t thank him enough, but he knows I will be on the phone next week annoying him asking for advice and some contacts!  Thank you again to everyone at the club and will be back soon on the other side of the dugout to support. I wish everyone all the best for rest of the season.”

Ives manager Ricky Marheineke said:

“I would like to thank Adam for all his hard work and commitment. His presence and contribution over the past few seasons have been exceptional and will leave a big hole to fill. Adam deserves this opportunity and I personally would like to wish him nothing but success going forward. Not only has his new club got a top manager they have themselves an even better person. Everyone at the club will not only miss Adam but also his family who have been ever present during his time with us. Go well and good luck Adam.”

The club would like to place on record it’s thanks to Adam for his hard work and dedication and wish him all the best for the future.
