Goalkeeper: JONAH GILL
Jonah arrives at the Quattro-Tech Westwood Road from March Town United where he was the Hares goalkeeper for four years. Last season, Jonah had impressive statistics of keeping 21 clean sheets conceding 35 goals from 38 games. Jonah started his career as a youngster with Cambridge United before making the swich to Peterborough Sports. He initially made the move to March on dual registration from Sports, but then made the move permanent in 2022.

Defender: MATT MILES
Versatile Matty is equally at home on the right side of a back four or in a defensive midfield role. He joined the Ives from Stamford at start of last season but had spent the whole of 2024/5 season as a regular starter for AFC Sudbury playing 41 games for the Yellows. Matty had started his career in the academy at Premier League Leicester City where he spent over ten years honing his skills. Since leaving the Foxes he has appeared for St Neots Town, Cambridge City, Biggleswade Town and prior to joining Sudbury he was a regular at National League North Peterborough Sports.

Defender: CALLUM MILNE
Central defender Callum Milne is no stranger to the Quattro-Tech Westwood Road as he was previously with the Ives during the 2022/23 campaign. A permanent switch to Corby Town followed and in season 2024/25, he featured 43 times, contributing 4 goals that saw the Steelmen finish as runners-up in the Northern Premier League Midlands Division. Since departing from Steel Park he has enjoyed successful spells with Wellingborough Town and Bourne Town.

Defender: SAM TESSLER
Cultured centre back Sam has rejoined the Ives after a brief spell in 2023/24 season that was ended by injury. Growing up in the United States Sam played in the youth set up of LA Galaxy and Pateadores Soccer clubs before going to Seattle University. On moving to the UK in 2023 he initially appeared for Yaxley and Grantham Town before his initial spell at quattro tech Westwood Road. Since recovering from his serious knee injury Sam has rebuilt his career with AFC Rushden & Diamonds and most recently Downham Town.

Defender: JOSH WARD
Hugely promising young defender Josh has earned his step up from the Ives successful U18 side. His calm demeanor and comfort on the ball mean that he will be pushing for a starting position in either centre of defence, or full back, before very long.

Midfielder: DAN LAWLOR
Experienced Midfielder Dan was at the heart of Peterborough Sports rise up the leagues. He departed from the Turbines in November 2024 in a surprise move to upwardly mobile Spalding United where he became a major cog in the Tulips push for promotion to the National League. After struggling to regain his place at the Fenland side in the latter part of last season he joined the Ives on loan for the last couple of months of the season. His return to quattro tech Westwood Road on a permanent deal which includes a coaching role is a major coup for manager Ricky Marheineke.

Midfielder: JUNIOR VARELA
Portuguese midfielder Junior has joined the Ives from Southern League Premier Division Central Stamford AFC. He made 22 appearances for the Daniels last season impressing with his ability on the ball. Prior to joining the Lincolnshire side he had played for Soham Town Rangers having moved across to the UK from Portugal. Prior to leaving his home country he had appeared for Sport Uniao Sintrese in the fourth division of Portuguese football.

Tricky 19 year old winger Alfie has earned his chance with the first team by impressing manager Ricky Marheineke in his appearances for the under 18 and reserve sides. He will be keen to grab his opportunity when it comes.

Midfielder: KELLAN HICKINSON
Local lad Kellan is in his third spell with the Ives having previously enjoyed a loan spell in early 2023 then returning to quattro tech Westwood Road at the start of 2023/4 season after being released by Posh in summer 2023. The all action midfielder had started at London as a nine year old and worked his way through the academy set up to earn himself a pro-contract in 2021. He left Ives to join National League North Peterborough Sports where he picked up a serious injury that meant he missed the whole of last season. Now on the comeback trail he started this season with Yaxley before his return to Ives.

Midfield/Defender: EZEKIEL WILLIAMS
Versatile combative midfielder Ezekiel joins the Ives from Hastings United where he proved a major player in the Us retaining their step 4 status in Isthmian South East Division last season. He had joined the south coast side from fellow Isthmian League Ascot United where he had shown his verastility playing as a striker in addition to his more familiar full back or midfield role. He has also had spells at Marlow, FC Romania and Kettering Town.

Midfielder: ANDRIAN ANKRAH
Northampton based Andy joins the Ives from local rivals St Neots Town. The energetic midfielder was a regular starter for the Saints in the second half of last season having joined them early in the New Year from fellow Northern Premier League Midlands outfit AFC Rushden & Diamonds. Prior to his stint with the Diamonds he had also enjoyed spells at Bugbrooke United and Daventry Town.

Another of last season’s successful U18 side who has impressed manager Ricky Marheineke with his abilities during pre-season. The silky midfielder, who is very comfortable on the ball and can pick a pass will be another pushing hard to earn himself a place in the starting line up

Striker: MICHAEL GASH
Michael, who is predominantly a striker, but can also operate as a defender brings a massive degree of experience to the Quattro-Tech Westwood Road with many years playing at top level non-league football. After starting out at Cambridge City, he made the switch to Cambridge United before returning to the Lilywhites for a second spell. He then played for Ebbsfleet United and York City before returning to Cambridge United. Moves to Kidderminster Harriers and Barnet followed before a four-year spell at King’s Lynn Town where he scored 40 times in 139 appearances. A switch to Peterborough Sports followed where he has also had two spells as manager.

Highly promising 17 year old striker has an eye for goal as the leading scorer for last season’s successful U18 side. He has also had a spell in men’s football on dual registration with Cambridgeshire County League Huntingdon United last season and will benefit from that experience in his quest to get into Ricky Marheineke’s match day squad.

Striker: JESSI OBENG
American born Jessi joins the Ives after a spell at St Neots Town last season during which he played a single game on dual registration for the Ives at AFC Sudbury. An attacking player who can play anywhere across the top line, he has previously played for Wellingborough Town and was an ever-present scoring 20 goals for the Doughboys during their United Counties League South Championship winning campaign in season 2023/24.

Striker: MARK JONES
Vastly experienced centre forward Mark Jones joins the Ives permanently after ending last season on loan at the Quattro-Tech Westwood Road. He enjoyed ten successful years at Peterborough Sports during the Turbines rise up the Leagues scoring 131 goals in 341 appearances. Prior to arriving at PIMS Park he also played for Boston United, Spalding United and Gainsborough Trinity.

Striker: MBUNYA ALEMANJI
22-year-old striker Mbunya started his career within Cambridge United’s youth setup before securing an eye-catching move to Serie A giants AS Roma in 2020, joining the Italian club’s academy. He headed on to Portugal to join top-flight outfit Rio Ave for a six-month spell in 2022 prior to embarking on a spell in Croatia with NK Croatia Zmijavci March 2023. Alemanji made the decision to return to England in summer 2023, linking up with Billericay Town briefly before stepping up to the National League North with Bishop’s Stortford in November. An impressive stay with the Blues saw him net six goals in 14 appearances since then he has moved on to Welling United, Potters Bar Town and Maidstone United but finally returns closer to his footballing roots.

Striker: ROMARI FORDE
Ex Arsenal youngster Romari has joined the Ives after a brief spell at rivals Kettering Town. A Watford lad, he played his early years in the Hornets academy before being snapped up by the Gunners in 2020. He enjoyed early success with the North London giants before injuries interuppted his progress leading to his eventual release in summer 2025. He originates from a footballing family with father Fabian Forde a former professional at Watford and Barbados international. His brother Shaqai is also a current Watford pro. The youngster will look to get his career back on track with the Ives.
