Ives under 18’s closing in on league title!
St Ives Town Under 18’s are in a strong position to win the league title following their 5-1 win at Godmanchester Rovers on Monday night. The result puts them one point clear at the top of the Thurlow Nunn Youth League West Division, with two games in hand on Soham who are second.
With Soham having just two more games left to play, it would mean that if Ives manage to win their next two matches at home to Wisbech St Mary on 10 March and against Ely City at the Quattro-Tech Westwood Road on 17 March, it would give them the league title.
The Under 18’s also have a chance to do a league and cup double as they face Eaton Socon on 4 April in the final of the County Youth Cup. This match will be played at Eynesbury Rovers.
With lots to play for, and silverware at stake, make sure you give the lads your full support in their quest for a league and cup double.
