St Ives Town v St Neots Town

A late goal from a trialist ensured that St Ives Town recorded a 1-0 victory over St Neots at the Quattro-Tech Westwood Road.

The first home pre-season friendly was played in baking heat with a number of new players on display, but these were changed at half-time with several trialists featuring in the second half.

It was the first time that home fans watched some of the new signings that Ricky Marheineke has brought to the club during the summer and there was action for the likes of Jonah Gill, Michael Gash, Dan Lawlor and Mark Jones whilst Matty Miles also played after his signing was announced prior to kick-off.

Ives are next in action on Saturday, 18 July when they face Royston Town at the Quattro-Tech Westwood Road, kick-off 3:00pm.
