Taylor and Richens scoop awards

Goalkeeper Ollie Taylor and skipper Michael Richens were the recipients of the end of season awards for St Ives Town.

Taylor, in his first season at the club won the Supporters Player of the Year and the Managers Player of the Year award. Meanwhile Richens was Players Player of the Year and leading goalscorer.

Ciaran Coyle from the club media department was named as club person of the year. Meanwhile, Ladies Manager Simon Dixon was also present to announce their awards.

Ives Co-Chairman Andrew Dunn said “Despite a difficult season for the first team, it was great to see the clubhouse packed out for the end of season awards. I was also delighted that the ladies team joined us too. I would like to congratulate all of the winners and there was a real upbeat atmosphere as we start the process of rebuilding the club.”

Awards for the reserves, scholars and under 18’s will take place on Friday evening, 1 May.
