FC Peterborough 0 St Ives Town 2

St Ives Town made it back-to-back victories in pre-season with a 2-0 win at FC Peterborough.

Following the home win against St Neots on Saturday, it was Mark Jones who put the Ives in front with a far post header.

The second goal came from Archie Riordan who netted after the break. Ives manager Ricky Marheineke shuffled the pack as the match progressed running his eye over some of the youngsters and a number of trialists.

The only downside on a good night for the Ives was the injury to youngster Josh Chapman who was stretchered off with possible ligament damage.

Ives are next in pre-season action on Saturday when they host Royston Town at the Quattro-Tech Westwood Road with a 3:00pm kick-off. You can buy tickets in advance for the fixture HERE
