Under 14 girls team in treble success

Yesterday saw the crowning glory for the under 14 girls team at St Ives Town as they pipped Cambridge City to the league title, and in doing so claimed the treble after already winning the League Cup and County Cup.

The County Cup was secured in March with a 2-0 victory against Sawtry. This was followed by a 4-0 win against Bottisham to claim the League Cup, and in a title decider against Cambridge City they won 2-1 to become league champions.

Ives Co-Chairman Andrew Dunn said “This has been a remarkable season for the under 14 girls team. Claiming the treble is a fantastic achievement and they should be rightly proud of their efforts. On behalf of everyone at the club, I send them huge congratulations.”
